We finally got our hands on the PlayStation VR and we have all of our opinions for you in this video of Sony’s venture into the world of virtual reality. We drilldown into the form factor, visuals, audio and comfortability and speculate whether the PlayStation 4K can drive improvements to the visuals of the device. Check out our video for the full lowdown.
Sony came with a cavalcade of PlayStation VR titles at EGX Rezzed with many of their launch titles being shown at the Tobacco Docks in London. We got our hands on with London Heist the on-rails gritty shooter that puts the cockney in spraying Uzi bullets all over the place. Check out Armik’s opinions of the game in our video impressions.
We finally tasted PlayStation VR for the first time today and the taste was like a sweet nectar. The biggest decision for pre-order buyers of the VR unit will be, what games should I be buying on launch? Well we’ve got the full scoop on RIGS a game that mixes flavours of Titanfall and Rocket League in one neat package. But do we recommend it on launch? Find out in our video preview.
Carmageddon: Max Damage will be coming to consoles very soon, we had a chance to speak to Nobby Barnden for the second time in 12 months to talk about the new features that Max Damage will bring and the learning experience Stainless Games have had since the release of Carmageddon Reincarnation on PC. It’s good news for existing buyers as they will get a free upgrade with a much sturdier engine backing Max Damage. Find out all the details in our video interview.
Running with Scissors are back! It’s been a few years since the underwhelming Postal 3 so it’s a chance for them to go back to their roots with a faithful homage to the original Postal game that was so iconic. Postal Redux takes the original postal game and updates the graphics but keeps the off the wall gameplay that made the series both hilarious and controversial at the same time. We had a chance to play the game at EGX Rezzed 2016 as well as interview the developers. Take a look at our hands on preview and interview.
The Game Bakers are working on a fighting game that focuses on one-on-one fights using fast paced sword fighting and dual stick shooting. You are going to need quick digit reactions to make your way through this game. With an interesting art style and the game compromising of essentially one big boss fight this one definitely stoked our interest. Check out our video to learn more about Furi.
Haven’t heard of Mekazoo? Well if you are a fan of games such as Splosion Man and Sonic The Hedgehog you may want to keep a close eye on this game. Mekazoo is a 2D platformer where you have to use Mekanimals to swing, boost, bounce, climb and fly your way through the levels in the game. Not only does the platform bring back the nostalgia, it looks absolutely gorgeous. Check out our hands on preview and interview with the game developers at Good Mood Creators.
We’ve joined Shu, Keela and friends as we go platforming across the different worlds in Shu. This colourful hand drawn platformer title will test your reflexes as the end of the world tries to consume you. Sections of this game are reminiscent of the original master system Sonic games where if you weren’t quick enough to traverse the level you’ll end up dying. With beautiful visuals Shu looks to be a platformer to keep an eye on from developers Coatsink.
Billed by developer Coatsink as a first-person Oculus Rift / Samsung Gear VR puzzle game set in 1975. Certain members of the public begin to display extra-sensory abilities and, in the interests of national security, the government panic and start forcing citizens to undergo aptitude tests. A homage to Portal perhaps? We check the game out and speak to Coatsink about the title. It’s available right now on Oculus and Samsung Gear VR.
Available through early access Gang Beasts is a melee local player fighting game set in ridiculously dangerous locations. This one caught our eye back at EGX Rezzed in 2015 but we never had a chance to check it out. Gang Beasts will no doubt draw crowds again this time around with it’s physics play and the game is set in the fictional metropolis called Beef City….and who doesn’t love to pound the beef?
Kick Off was the alter rival to Sensible Soccer back in the early 90’s and could be argued as the Pro Evolution Soccer of its time. The game had more simplistic graphics than it’s counter part and lacked quite a number of features in comparison to the Seni series, but there was something absolutely compelling about the gameplay that was utterly addictive despite its barebones features. We had a chance to interview Dino Dini the games creator at EGX Rezzed 2016 about the revival of the iconic original that brought back so many great memories.
